Rapid Jack question

Was out in the garage looking at my boat and realized the right side of my jackplate is higher than my left side. I put a tape measure on it to be sure of what I was seeing. There is at least 1/4" difference, maybe a little more. What do I need to do just loosen the left side and crank it on up until it is even or?

get someone to help you level it and tighten the crap out of the bolts.......my fishin buddy had that issue on his old Rapid Jack.......the newer ones have added another bolt to stop it I think.......I'm not 100% on this, but you may be able to add a third bolt in the top of the slide on yours to help......I believe the newer ones come this way......do some research on that as I'm not completely certain

Loosen up the side tightening bolts, rim the motor up and pick up on the lower unit to shake the motor. See if that lets it slide level..

Yep, that should do it. You may have to use a rubber hammer, had to on mine; just lightly tap the top of the jackplate.

I don't want to lower any, I want to raise it to where both sides are even? That is why I was wondering if I need to leave one side tight and then loosen the other side and tighten?

You might want to lower it "before" you raise it... Let the cable loosen up. I would make sure the cable is behind the roll pins and maybe add a few extra zip ties close to the pins.

now you tell me, lol I was messing around with it last night and dang cable pulled out of the crimped on stop on the high side. Shoot seems like I always have to learn things the hard way! Calling Rapid Jack this morning.
