I put one in my boat in 2004 and like it alot. I dont adjust it much, but when cleaning and working under the dash it sure comes in handy.

yep that's all i found mine to be good for. I like it. Try and tilt it up and drive it like a school bus![]()

you might want to look into the tilt helm a little more. they tend to develop a little more play in them then a standard helm.
Mine is still tight like a new one... But I dont use the wheel to get out of my seat like some fat boys do..![]()

not sure of the style you have mike but my old boat had the square helm. I have only been close to two of this style square helm and both would rock a tad. One of them I owned and I don't have the need to use the steering wheel as a lift assist. I think their is another style adjustable helm that manufacturers use with a rubber boot around it..
Mine has the rubber boot as well...

Thats not the style I had. If you do opt for a tilt helm you best get that style because the square helm WILL develop play
I have the same style that is in the pic. Don't really know that is is useful for anything. I have a big azz belly and don't need it![]()
