2005 Evinrude direct injection HO

[Fish'n for Bass]

I am thinking of purchasing a new ranger with this motor, nevere owned a evinrude.
Are they good and will the company be around for a while, any thoughts would help? Thanks David

you will not go wrong with a evinrude.the guru's will repond later i'm sure.again will not be disappointed

Except for a 3 month period in 2001, Evinrude has been around since about 1909 and should remain for a lot more years to come.


They have a lot more outboard history and experience than any other outboard manufacturer.

I have an 03' Evinrude HO and it has been flawless since day 1. Great gas milage, Outstanding power, and I swear that thing makes oil somewhere. You will be very pleased. If you get the serial number from that motor someone here will be able to give you the history on it.....unless it is new of course.

SeaHorse, Said it best!! They have been around a looonnnngggg time. If ya buying new go ahead and use the xd100 oil find a dealer that sells it in bulk and bring your on jug,the motor will love ya for it and NO decarbing!!!!
