Need more speed bullet 21xd

Just got 1996 21xd w/200 HP Mariner super mag, 12" Rapid Jack jack plate , running 26" 4 blade power tech prop lower unit cone even with bottom of hull getting 24 water psi. Top end speed 67 mph gps

The coned lower unit is slowing you down a little bit. The 21's only need a coned lu if you are running a 300. If i were you i would prob get my hands on a trophy to run. There are several more people that know a whole lot more than me on this board. I am sure they will chime in here shortly.

Sounds like you need to come up a bit w the motor height. Not sure with the cone though. Is it lifting good?

If I was setting up this boat I would remove the rear jackplate bolts and replace the 200 with a 3 liter preferably 250+ hp. Should pick up speed about 15 mph.

Thats what I am thinking. I don't know the minimum psi for your motor but most are about 15 psi so I think you could come up some. Find out what the minimum psi is first.

Lake Murrey, on fish big time . Any help with setup . I have already raised moter 1" , just got loose top end with 21"psi and no increase in speed

Test a tempest plus in a 27P depending on the rpms your getting now.
