    trolling motor question

    Mounting a trolling motor on the front of my bullet ,do you guys think a couple washer will be enough or should a put some type of plate underneath. Thanks Again.

    I've always used piano washers and never had any problems.

    Washers have always worked for me. I never understood why they didn't put some kind of plate up there from the factory. Most guys who buy a bass boat are going to put a trolling motor on and it wouldn't add hardly any weight. It just doesn't make sense to me.

    I have done it with big fender washers and also have used the stainless toggles when I couldn't reach my hand in there to get to the inside area where the nuts would be..

    I've always just used fender type washers and have had no problems and I've been known to really test equipment to extremes at times....darn the luck...
