Sounds like a pretty good evening to me! Glad the prop is working for ya. I second on thanks to Paul Nichols, he turned me on to the txp, I live on Oklahoma and this is not Bullet counrty around here, so no-one speaks bullet, Paul has helped me with my set ups and he has always been right on with his advice!!! THANKS PAUL!!!
I'm no expert by any means, but I would think an 1 1/4 above is getting close (loaded), I wouldn't think you could go any over 1 1/2 above (loaded), as I mentioned I'm no expert. I've never been able to run over 1 1/4 above loaded with my 280 but then again I may be carrying more junk in the trunk. I would check top speed with GPS where its at now then start going up watching water pressure and speed, sooner or later you'll hit a point and lose mph. I would also figure my prop slip at each point. How did you like the lift?

    Re: ran txp today! (steveschrank)

I lost about 3 miles per hour on top end with the txp compared to the bullet cut chopper, but I'm still tunning as well, I'll give up 3 on top to gain a much better hole shot and mid range (loaded). Its been my experience that after 85 mph there are very few boats still hanging with you anyway (unless its another bullet or an Ally) around here running 91 compared to 94 is just for dock talk. When I broke my engine in I used a trophy, but as soon as it broke in I went to the bullet cut chopper, so I never ran the trophy with a good set up. So I'm no help in the comparison. Let me know some numbers......I'm curious...

be careful if you run the trophy that high. very possible to sling an ear running those heights
