    2005 HPDI starting issues....

    Two of the past three times out, my motor had trouble starting up first thing in the AM. Had to actually press the hot foot to keep it idled and once it warmed up it ran fine and fired up fine any other time the rest of the day. I'm gonna change the plugs, as it has been a bit since they were changed....hope this helps. Any other suggestions?

    Battery is fine and reading good voltage....and only does it the first time starting. Its acting like a carved motor in cold weather....

    fuel supply ?? try pumping bulb up good and tight just an idea

    My guess is weak battery. Voltage is not the main indicator, it is amperage. Once started the alternator goes to work and the battery is then good for the rest of the day. To test - put a battery charger on it all night and try to fire it up on a hose the next morning.
