    Spinelli 28 pitch

Hey guys I got my hands on a 28 pitch spinelli prop. Don't know a lot about it except it is a 9.5 out of 10 in condition. Inside the hub the numbers BR538 28 are stamped. Does anyone know if this prop could be used on my 20CC/225 Yamaha with any sucess? I tried it but it blew out when tring to come out of the hole. Needs an anti cav ring I guess. Before I spend the $$$ on a ring is it worth trying? Or should I sell it and use the $$ for something else? Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

The big block yamaha has alot of exhaust gas that dumps on the blades. I think that prop is better suited for mercs with relieved exhaust. You may have some cupping added all the way from the leading edge around the tips to get it hooked up better...

I would get something with at least 14 1/4 diameter with 15 being even better

What would you suggest in that dia. range? Probably something in a four blade. Still learning to drive this beast. Been told its easier to learn/drive a 4 blade. I have a trophy plus now but only pitched to a 25. need more pitch.

I'd suggest you try a TXP-OT4 for a good durable 4 blade that has a good holeshot and incredible acceleration and handling. They run a lil' stiff, So normally you need to run one pitch lower than normal to get the same rpms. Take this into consideration when chosing your pitch. They are 14 3/8 diameter

I have had no luck running small diameter props with the yammie gear cases and have blow outs at speeds as low as 77 like a drag 4.......I used to have problems running over the hubs so I thought......but it was actually the diamerter of the over the hubs I was running newer performance propllers performers are around 15 or more and now dont have the problem with blow out like the smaller diameter overhte hubs of the past.
