When I am running, I noticed that the the water coming out of the pisser is not strong at all. My water pressure is fine on the gauge. I noticed yesterday on my buddy's hpdi that it was a lot stronger coming out. Any suggestions.

my 225 has been the same way since i bought it . Everyone says its normal and i have a hyd jackplate and run it deep mid and high ranges and also the same out the pee hole
That's normal for the SHO. My 200 is the same way and I'm running 18-20 psi.

Same here on a 250 SHO. I questioned my mechanic and he said this is normal.

The pilot hole is like a bypass to ensure water flow through the engine when rpm's are low and the normal water flow through the exhaust is restricted by the water at the exhaust. Once rpm's are increased enough that normal water flow patterns are good, the pilot hole is not an issue for cooling. However, at idle speeds, ensure that this water is flowing and is not too hot.
Here's a diagram of the cooling system:

I have a f250 on a bay boat. The water has trickled out since day one. Around 300 hours and no problems![]()
