It appears that the screww-on cap of my big remote oil tank is cracked about 3/4 of the way across its length. Would it be wise to buy a new one? Im guess I will be able to grab one for cheap at the dealer where I bought my boat

That happened to me and i just bought a new one at the dealer i bought the boat it was like 25 bucks.
I wonder what caused the crack. I guess from the twisting from tightening & loosening even though I dont hv to add oil very often. I was hoping it would be under $20. thanks!
i actually dropped mine and it cracked. don't no how must of hit the concrete just perfect
