I haven't seen the weather forecast, but it would take a lot to make it come up 3 feet. But at this rate, it will be up very soon.

I think Carencro and Arnaudville will argue that point

It went up a few feet last week.......didn't it????

Agreed....but remember the higher it gets....the more it takes to make it rise. As it goes up it also has to spread out more.....so the higher it gets...the more it takes to make it rise........i hope that makes sense to u cause i have a hard time understanding what i said myself.

    Volume......I understand

My point is once the ground is saturated.....Its straight run off It will collect in any pool

Right now the rain will run straight in to the ditches canals and the reservoir

A week ago, it came up 1' in 24 hours, from saturday to sunday. There's going to be another front coming through either later this week or beginning next week, although i'm not sure if it will bring rain. The ground is now saturated so the lake has been getting runoff too. As of right now, prior to the rain, it's a few inches shy of a 10' rise in 3.5 months.

It may not make full pool this week, but by the end of April, she'll be at 172, no doubt. The 6 pounder I caught Friday morning was in someone's yard that I saw them cutting grass in 3 wks ago. It's awesome to watch a lake fill up like that and learn whats under the water that you're fishing.

Oh i agree too. I was lucky to learn some areas that i was unfamiliar with. Plus catching quite a few fish in toppled hay grass. Now i know where stump filled hard bottomed humps are located. Places that were out of the water a while back produced fish for me also.

Its also raining hard right now over the sabine river which has a big impact, not just raining on the main lake. but we will see what happens over the next few days

You are right the lake can come up alot in a day. My dad told me whe n he was a kid it came to the same level it is now....in 1928....the river bottom flooded to today's level...with no dam...but then it did rain 28 inches that day.

Yes there is, when I get back to work tomorrow I will post the link. It updates every 2 or 3 hours and gives the rain level
