I need to know how to keep my motor from freezing. This is my first winter with my new to me ranger and it's to big to fit in my garage. I live on the hot side of lake anna and I fish year round and I just don't want any problems with my motor freezing up and breaking something, any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

No expert .... just some thoughts:
Keep plug out and tilt trailer up so any water in the bilge will drain out.
Live well drains opened.
Tilt motor up and down to drain it completely:
Disconnect and /or blow out water lines going to your water pressure gauge and speedometer. Ensure that the gauges have no water in them.
I am sure others will comment.

I would disconnect at the gauge and blow back from there. That would also drain the gauge.
If you do this and find no water, it will confirm that they self drain and you won't have to worry about it.
Also...remove the cowl and familiarize yourself with any cooling water hoses in there and any that go to the boat.
The last couple of winters were really cold, even here in NC but I sill went out at least once a week. I noticed that my boat froze to the wet bunk carpet on the trailer and later I notice blisters in the gel coat where the bunks are. I would strongly recommend you spray the trailer bunks with a silicon type product. This will keep the boat from freezing to the bunks and carpet will dry much quicker minimizing possibility of (osmosis) blisters developing in gel coat. Keep your wench strap snug when launching as the bunks will be much slicker!
Install a quick disconnect line splices on your speedo and psi gauge where they are easily reached to drain water from the lines. Leave the motor trimmed down and you should be good to go.
