Ive been doing water transfer for gas fracs on land for going on ten years. Ive became real good friends with quite a few company men. My ex-BIL has been one for about four years now. The only complaint Ive heard any of them say, and all of them has said it several times is " sometimes the bs aint worth the money" but they have all stayed busy doing what they know how to do. The way you sit now you can stay where you are and the co-man job will always be there when you get ready for it, or you can take the new position and if it dont work out I would bet you can get your old job back. With that being said taking the new job would probably be easier down the road vs getting your old one back down the road. I agree 100% about the doing a good job and being requested, but still not getting the $ you are worth. I bet the ones turning down the raises due to lack of income are not turning down their bounses. I know several men who have came from the pond and started consulting on land, there is plenty of work here, the bad part is you may have to travel to get it. Good luck with your decision.
