    Looking for land to lease.

Figure maybe a couple of you guys may know of something. I'm trying to find 40-100 acres or so in the east/west feliciana area to lease next year. Just be me and the wife and kids. Not looking to make a club. Already got one of them and the headaches to go with it. Just trying to get another place to slip over to in the evenings and what not. It's tough with school and my job since I'm rarely off on weekends, to get the kids to the camp. I do have 40 acres of my own, but recent years have had some rather hostile neighbors who have blasted everything into oblivion.

Also, looking for productive turkey land close to the same area. Just in case any of you have a smaller lease and don't turkey hunt it. I'd be willing to pay you a turkey lease. Not looking to join a club that just so happens to have turkeys. I've got a 1500 acre lease that has them, but just looking for somewhere close to take the kids during turkey season as well. Thanks in advance!

GET IN LINE!!! I have been looking for the same thing in those areas for the last 4 years and still havent found anything! Seems these days any good land worth leasing the high dollar people or corps. already have it. You either have to know someone or have some major $!

I've got a 50 acre block in that area that butts up against our hunting club that I've been thinking about leasing. Do you know where Dixie Dog Hunters Deer Club is??

There are two ways to get property there 1. You MUST know the land owner! 2. You have to outbid one of the Dr.'s or Lawyers that already have a peace leased! I've been trying for years myself. Got a bite one time I thought till the Dr. That had it out bid me by ten grand for 150 acres. It's retarded money out there most of 100 bucks an acre!

Yeah, I know the properties go from $20-40 an acre. Course, I know of quite a few cheaper than that.

Guys, y'all need to ask around more. I've gotten two pieces for my brother in law the past two years. You just gotta ask. Stuff like that doesn't hit the papers. So here I am....asking.

Just read your post entirely Josh. Wow. 100 an acre. Haven't seen any that expensive. The piece brother in law just leased he got a 5 year lease for 26.50.

    Had to edit. Damn iPhone.

Yea, Ive never seen anything for 100 an acre . I was talking more like the $30 dollar range. I hunt with some podnuhs in St. Francisville and there lease went from 17 an acre to 30 this year!!!

Chad, I read my post I actually typed it you know Here's how it worked I put a silent bid of 5 Grand for 150 acres bordering Cat Island. I later found out from the landowner The Dr. Bid 15 grand and that locked it up. A lawyer named Daniel Pittman I heard brought it to ten before the dr. Put his massive bid!!!

Josh, read, and read.....they are spelled the same, but have two different meanings...read (reed) would be me telling you to read your post....read (red) was me saying I just read (red) your entire post...I didn't doubt you in any way...just saying that I didn't read (reed) your post entirely and see the 100 bucks when I put the 20-40 range....
