    GPS options ???

Which GPS options do I have for around $500 that will work with my Map Create card? Not worried about contour and other programs, will work with what I have.

try and find a used 520c or similar. (522c, 525c-DF) Not sure on the new HD models... maybe someone else will know if they work with the map create cards.

From what I've seen the new Lowrance has the maps built in and you dont need the card any longer unless you find an older 520c/522

It don't matter what unit or card or mapping program. they all are bad and lack detail here in South Louisiana.
By detail I mean showing canals and bayous also.

If you look hard enough you can find the HDS units on sale and get a rebate...witht he HDS units you would not need the card...now if you were looking at the Elite Series those units only take the micro SD cards....

I would have to disagree with that. No contour lines for sure, but seeing canals/bayous show up on mine.(522 with MapCreate Card)

Now HB(Navionics), that one has squat. No bayous and barely marked the Intracoastal Waterway.

522i is the 520c but with an internal antenna. You will need a map create card to get the detail in either of these.

Mr. Roger, my wife bought my HDS-5 with lake insight for $499 at cabelas. Academy had them on sale for that price but they were out of stock. She took ad to cabelas and surprisingly they matched the price.

Do yall know if a card made for Lowrance will work on an Eagle. I was told Eagle is made by Lowrance and a co worker has the program to make me a card. Dont want to waste his time and my money if it is not compatible.

    Re: GPS options ??? (Frog)

Those cards have to be about 5-10$ now for a blank one. I would think it would work and worth a try.
