    115tlr starting issues

A buddy of mine has a 115tlr 2000 motor that he is having issues starting, filters have been changed and carbs cleaned, also replaced fuel pump. when the motor is cold it will not start. if you give it a small shot of starting fluid it will start and run without a hickup and sit and idle with zero hickups or anything. once it cools back down again it wont start again.. any other ideas what may be causing this?

Spark plugs, plug wires come to mind.

Try this next time, lower the motor so the engine is parallel to the water, use the manual choke vs the electric.

choke is probably not actuating all the way, common problem on 115's
