Towing question

Has anybody towed with the 6 speed Tahoe? I know they have 3.42's so it ought to pull pretty good as the boats that I pull are pretty light.

Yeh, I was going to ask a similar question. I was wondering if any of you guys puts your trucks in the tow mode - When you're pulling in areas with a lot of mountains. I have a 08' GMC that I pull my rig with. This will be the first time I make the voyage pulling that boat where I will encounter some very steep highway (Upper Alabama\Tenn).
I have used (tow Mode) when pulling heavier loads such as my tractor going to MS. But on the usually pulling the boat around southern Louisiana, I just do the normal thing. Put her in "D" an move it on out.....................

I didn't use the tow mode going to arkie land this weekend but I have a dodge. I remember buddy saying he didn't use it either he has a gmc. I got rid of my 08 Sierra because of transmission issues.

I hardly ever use the Tow button. Maybe up in the hills at the camp, but thats about it. Just drive through the hills with a soft foot on the gas and you'll be ok. No cruise-control!

The tow button aint worth a crap on my 07 Chevy. I had to pull a big trailer the other day and I just put in in 3 and cruised 65 at 2700 RPMS. I was sick of it shifting. That cant be good for it.

Also BG, those bullets are completly diff than your Bee. When I went to get Dlabs you couldnt even tell you were pulling anything. They are light, at least the 20's are. I knew that bee was back there.

@ All the Fella's, well that's what i figured. It's 1 of those thing you don't miss it to whether it really don't add up to anything. Thanks for the input guys. I will continue doing what I have been doing - That the same thing y'all been doing likewise.

I tow in overdrive all the time with my Dodge and had 207k miles on transmission before it went out.
