    A bunch of nuts

I have noticed on Louisiana sportsman that when a guy posts what he caught and how fish he kept the people treat him like he is the worst person in the world for not catching and releasing. Do these tree hugging nuts not eat fish?

There are enough smaller bass out there to take some home and enjoy. I personally can't see guys catching really big bass and taking them out. I'm always glad to see a fisherman release a lunker and give a big bass another chance to grow...as well as another person a shot at catching it.

x2.. I don't get much satisfaction out of turning a quality bass into a turd...

I agree with turning the big ones loose. If I catch a big one that Id like to mount id take pictures and measurements and get a replica. But if I catch a mess of 14 to 16 inch fish I will keep to eat or ill keep alive in the live well and release in my pond. Caught a 7 pounder a couple months back. I kept it but released it in my pond. I needed a big fish in there to help control these bream that are getting over populated

I can't stand the Louisiana Sportsman forum. A bunch of damn yo yos on there. You better not post pics and say where you were on there cause there will be 500 boats there the next day. And they ain't scared to ask for exact details. But as for catching and releasing, I agree keep a few smaller ones here and there and that's about all I do. These people at Henderson right now are the ones that get to me. Yeah, they are catching sacalait there, no big secret just check the sportsman site, but people are going 2-3 times a week catching a limit for the last few weeks. What do you need that many damn fish for? Hell I don't even wanna clean all that!

    Re: (cajunsmitty)

I agree smitty. Kinda like my father in law does in my pond. He waits until I go offshore and then goes catchs and keeps 200 bream in my pond. The fish in the pond arent going anywheres why do you need to keep 200 fish? He prob cleaned them and gave most of them away. Pisses me off. But anyway there is some looney toons on louisiana sportsman.
