    Organizing Tackle

How do y'all manage to organize all the baits? I have this bag with 12 3700's, another 3700, 3 soft packs and a container with about another 30 different soft plastics.

I made dividers out of clear plexiglass in my front center storage compartment.
3" tall, 4" front to back, little bit wider than the packaging soft baits come in.
Each one has different (like) soft plastics in it.
Probably 15 different styles of baits, 150 packages? I can open the lid and go straight to exactly the bag I want.

Have two of those chrome, chain style, dog collars stretched across the underside of the lid for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

My lid has a support underside. I just used sheet metal screws.
If you're lid has no extra bracing to attach them to. You can use sex screws on the sides and they will clear when closing.
OR, thru the carpet on the top, probably almost be hidden by the carpet when installed, and the heads are smooth. Like a carriage bolt.

Hardbaits = Plano 3700 or XPS flipsiders
Soft Plastics = Ziploc tupperware boxes and bags (labeled of course)

Here is what I carry in my boat

And here is my little peg Board

I don't understand why people carry the entire store in their boat. I don't see any need to have ten packs of the same color worm in your boat

I bet I've bought 50 pkgs of green punkin speed craws in the last year. (I know I have!)
I know of several times, I've just grabbed and thrown 5pkgs in the boat.
Was looking for them yesterday, and I was OUT.
Usually I keep several bags of "style", in several different colors. BUT, There will one color that I have dupicates.

Things kinda get out a hand when fishing a different lake each week.

Three rods and a Wal-Mart bag. And that's it. (if I need something else, I'll just use your tackle)

When a person fishes with me, I prefer they bring no more than four rods....and a wal-mart sack. If that's not enough, use my stuff.

    Re: Organizing Tackle (bayoubullet)

Just chunk it all in there and dig like a madman when you're looking for something. I do put my plastics in large tupperware contrainers and hang the stuff I'm using at the time from Cooks Go To System mounted in my lids.
