Prop shaft removal

I have a bent prop shaft on my 06 HPDI 250. The prop is ok and there doen't appear to be any other assosiated damage. The long term plan is to have it replaced but I need the boat by next Wed. My short term plan is to remove the shaft and have a machine shop strighten it and then re-install. How hard is it to remove and replace? Tks for the help

Put a dial indicator on it and if it’s out less than .003 you are fine. Some specialized machine shops can get the shaft strained out without removing the shaft unless, it’s bent internally. To remove the shaft you will need to drain and drop the LU, remove shift shaft, remove couple bolts from the bearing carrier, slide out the carrier and the shaft will come out. Replace new seals and new o-rings on all components and reinstall. About an hour at most for disassembly.

You better check the shaft closely,and make shure it isn't cracked! They are a little prone to doing that,and it will appear you have a bent propshaft.
