Traveling through LA

Will be driving to Florida and plan to stop halfway in Lousiana-maybe Baton Rouge. Looking for good places to stay and better places to eat. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated! Only one nite 16th of July

If you'll be traveling through denham springs you could stay there and go to bass pro shops. There is also plenty of places to eat in the area. Only about ten minutes outside of baton rouge

I'm thinking more like crawfish etc.

Sammy's is a real good place to eat, they have just about whatever you want (crawfish), everything I've had has been awsome, no complaints, It stays packed every day, I think there's a couple restaurants, the only one I've been to is in central, it's about 15-20 minutes from the interstate in denham springs, they have a lot of new hotels in denham also as well as bass pro.

You can get crawfish almost all year but (from my experience) the later in the year it get the harder the shells get.

The shells will be tough in July, but you may still be able to find some.
