Here is a link to the fishermen out of Delcambre it's cheaper than buying at the market, it is fresh and the fishermen get a better price than selling @ the dock. It is a win / win in my opinion.

Mark...
How does it work? do you have to call them in advance? or is it a market with a bunch of people set up and you just show up?
Corey, pick the fisherman you want to do business with from the list and call him. Tell him how much you want and he will tell you the price and what day he will return to the dock for you to pick up your order. Can't get it any fresher
sweet.. now I just need to schedule a work trip to Lafayette, and pick them up on the way back!
Lat year Rouses Supermarket would allow local srimpers to sell in the parking lot of the store. When I want shrimp, I drive down to cocodrie and look for a boat tied up. Or I go to one of the shrimp sheds and buy there. Last time I went to Indian Ridge Shrimp Co.
i hope they still have some in the bay fri. so i can catch my own,if i catch alot ill sell some.$10.00 a lbs.![]()
