BASS JERSEY THING 2011

There are at least 2 BASS JERSEY companies out there...Gemini and Atomic...
my 1st 2 shirts are from Gemini...they are thicker and hotter than the new Atomic one I wore for the 1st time Sunday.
However, Gemini seems to offer a better layout and such but I am not real sure yet...
If anyone wants a jersey...they are about $70-110. Some clubs agree on a main base color and each guy adds the rest.

IMHO two shirts is all anyone really needs...one with darker warmer colors for 6 months and the other light colors for the hot months...
There is no doubt that most any shirt looks super in a picture after that great win or even 2nd or high up in some Benefit...so sharp you can frame and keep it on your wall for years.

You DO NOT have to have any sponsors to get a shirt....put your favorite tackle makers on it and baits, name, city, club...you are the boss, you decide, you lay it out, they make it.

It is for sure the non-fishing public sees us in a more "classy" way in a shirt...
image counts when you want water levels better and things like that...its just how life is.

I got a LSU jersey and its too nice to even wear fishing..

its hard enough for me to wear my under armour fishing shirts.. i'm afraid to mess them up..

So i usually end up fishing in a t-shirt

Unless you "REALLY" have sponsors, tournament is Ranger Cup eligible, skeeter bonus bucks, cabelas angler cash or any other type of incentive program, then I agree it's gay!!! Don't show up at a club tournament or afternoon dogfight with a jersey, you ain't KVD!!!!

I have a tackle warehouse long sleeve jersey, and it is the most comfortable shirt I have ever worn. It also keeps me the coolest when it is hot outside. It is super breathable and dries really quick. I love the jersey and dont give a damn what anybody else thinks.

I have a long sleeve white columbia shirt that has little holes all in it and its super breathable too and drys fast.

I just started with the jersey thing about 18 months ago...
I like the comfort and the TOTAL CONTROL of what goes where and colors...
the FISHING pros go overboard with that sponsor thing...most club guys may have 1-3
sponsors so it not gaudy or a clown shirt.

You can get a blank one with just your last name on the back if you like...
or blank with just your club on the back with name above...nothing more.
Some guys like looking like dumpster divers in pics...think its way kool...

Jerseys are gay, unless you really are sponsored by someone. I have to wear a fishing team shirt coming up in June... but I wouldn't consider it a jersey

We are getting jerseys designed now for our club. If we have to wear club shirts at certain events I much rather wear the moisture wicking pull overs that do not wrinkle then any of the button up standard columbia etc fishing shirts. We have picked up a few club sponsors and there logo's as well as our club logo will be going on the jersey's.

As far as an individual just getting a jersey made to look cool that is pretty gay..

What if you have 1-3 sponsors that want their name on a Jersey, so you have one made up, but also put some BBC Sponsors logos on it(that do not sponsor you) just b/c you wanna support your fellow BBCers?

Would that make me ghey?

The purposes of my original post were:

1... to create awareness of at least 2 shirt (jersey) choices
2... to let you know some great advantages
3....to let you know the common price range
4....to let you know the total control as a buyer
5....to let you know my experiences after buying a half dozen Wally shirts over the last few years that were in no way as kool physically or appearance-wise

none of the store bought fishing shirts (columbian, UA, etc) are any where near as light as these jersey's. Just get one without logos and get solid colors.
