2003 225 vmax need help

The motor is on a 2002 ZX225 with a 12" hydraulic jack plate, i was running down the lake and all of the sudden the motor lost power and dropped off of plane i feathered the throttle and it came out of it once (it happened twice) the second time i had to resart the engine. No alarms sounded i was running at around 5600 rpms and i had 25 psi water pressure. Could it be a bad fuel bulb?
Unfortunately i did not check the bulb when it happened to see if it was firm.
Any ideas what this could be? thanks in advance for your help.

yes, check the bulb. Sounds like a fuel restriction, or leak.

have someone check low pressure fuel pumps. I thnk that is what they are anyway. I had a similar issue a couple of years ago where running at WOT it was as though someone turned the fuel off. The shop took them off and said there was a small leak like they had come loose. They tested out fine, reinstalled, did some test runs and I have not had a problem since.

thanks Trent! it did turn out to be the low pressure fuel pumps, i pumped the fuel bulb and it started leaking fuel out of my prop (holy crap!) i then removed the middle fuel pump from the block and pumped the bulb again and fuel poured out the diaphram. I ordered the parts online last week and installed them today and then ran it on the lake and it ran and idled great. Thanks again for your help!

Samething happened to my last year.. It ended up being the filter in the bottom of the VST tank. Just a thought if the pumps don't fix it..
