I was talking to my banker guy yesterday getting everything worked out on the 'new' boat and he asked me where the boat was located and if it was at a dealership. I told him no, it's not at a dealership, just a guy has it and it's located in the Baton Rouge area. He then said, "Ok...You know he's gonna have to come here to sign the title over, right?" I told him, "No, the guy is not driving up here...I'm buying the boat and I'm driving down there this weekend and getting it." But, he kept insisting that he has to come here.![]()
Ok, I'm assuming the reasoning behind this is he wants the title in hand when he gives over the money for the boat (i guess so they won't get 'scammed' or anything).... Surely there's an 'easy' way to remedy this and I can explain this to him, right?
We've got a notary waiting on us to come and sign everything over on Saturday...Surely he can talk to them and have them fax a copy as soon as it's done and then certified mail the original to him, since he apparently doesn't want me bringing it back to him.
Can anyone shed some light for me?![]()
