    Oil leak?

Has this happened to anyone else? tilted the motor down off the transum saver to change the fluid in lower unit. 03 250 hpdi. The next day I see motor oil on the floor. Ran down the front of mid section and even down inside the drive shaft area. Cant really tell where it came from. Not a huge amount, about 2 inch circle on floor, plus what was still on the motor. Inside the cowl was dry, I have the little sponge below air box and that was dry. No evidense at all from the tank cap. The little hose from the air box seemed fine to? Is this normal or should I be concerned. seems to have all stopped now.

Could this be the seal where the power head attaches to the mid section. Thanks for any info. Oil is clean but again runs down the front of mid section and down into the area where the wather pump is coming out a small hole for the lower unit.

What color is the oil? If it is fresh oil, the color it comes out of the bottle, check all the oil feed lines on the powerhead.

I've had my HPDI rebuilt then started getting oil just as your describing. What the shop ended up doing was getting between the midsection and block and put some sealer in there.

Oil is new. I can see it is following shift shaft down under the cowl. Only leaked when leveled the motor off the transum saver. There was oil in air box and in front of butterflys. If power head gasket bad wouldn't that leak tilted up and should there be motor oil at that low gasket when its a two stroke. Just can't find a wet hose or evidence of the air box leaking oil?
