Yamaha recall?

Last nite at our club meeting one of the guys said he blew his HPDI. Melt down in one of the pistons. He also said there had been a recall on some HPDI's. What year models does this include? I've got a HPDI that was manufactured in 08 and want to make sure mine isn't included! I haven't got anything from dealer or Yamaha.

The only recall i am aware of was for the oil pump. Other than that i'm not aware of anything else.

I have a 2004 HPDI and they had an oil pump recall back in 2005 I think it was.

It does not apply to the 08's.

where can you find the recall list

Get your serial number off the engine mount and date of manufacture and call Yamaha, they can tell you if anything needs to be done or if there are any TSB's for the motor.
