    Yamalube

Just bought a new gallon, do any of you guys run anything else that's a little cheaper in your motors?

I buy Yamalube in bulk from the local marine dealer and it saves me about $5.00 per gallon.

What's the price difference for extra $'s on oil compared to a rebuilt head?

I alway find bulk, if your patient you'll find someplace that even has bulk on specials. ie; during boat shows. I'll alway fill up every empty container I have at that time

Then I guess I shouldn't be to upset...I paid $18 a gallon. I'll just stick with the Yamalube at $18 per gal. It's last me several months anyway.

    Re: Yamalube (wildkat7)

The going rate across the boarder where i am is typically $32.99/gal. If i order a case or more they'll give me a 10% discount which is still more than most of you are paying. I was over in upstate NY a few months ago and a marina there had it on sale for 38.99 a gal so i guess it's not as bad as it could be.

    Re: Yamalube (SkeeterJohn)

I had another dealer tell me that the oil at Reeves Marine was not Yamalube. Said the cost is more than that and you know there not selling it to not make a profit. Could be a competition thing, could not be, don't know. Is there a cheaper grade of Yamalube?

I run Pennzoil XLF in my 150 HPDI. Lots cleaner than Yamaha oil and no problems !

dealer cost is way more than that, so i find it hard to believe that it is yamalube, and all oil's are steady going up

I buy it in bulk to save some money. I would not use anything but Yamalube. JMO

    Re: Yamalube (Bassin29)

I bought my yearly gallon of Yamalube for my 90hp yesterday from the same dealer i normally get it from, and in the factory jug (that way i'm shure it's yamalube) and it was $3 cheaper than last year.Last year it was $35.95,and this year it was $32.95.
