    Water pressure question/ Revlimiter

What PSI does the motor kick off @ ? My Envenrude when id hit 10psi or lower the motor would cut out.

Also when you hit the revlimiter on a yammi does the motor cut out? or does it bounce on the limiter?

Re: Water pressure question/ Revlimiter (hyperflow)

You can run the motor with 0 psi for water pressure and the motor will run just fine until it runs hot then it will bring it back to an idle.

The rev limiter is very soft. You will hardly notice it unless you have the Lowrance interface cable they you will get an alarm.

If you want to jack it up to make a speed run you can get by on about 5psi without any problems but if you run it to long at that low pressure then you will have a heat problem. To fish you should stay above 10-12 psi.
I would suggest that you get the interface cable and connect it to a Lowrance gps or a lowrance LMF 200 or LMF 400 so you can see any alarms that you may get while running hard.

Thanks for the advice How long approx can you run on 5psi?

You will have to watch your engine temp. But generally long enough to see a good top end number.
As far as how long it will depend on the motor, water temp and speed. So I can not stay 1 mile or 100 feet that is just an unknown for your conditions at the time of the run.
Have you had the lower unit worked for low water pick ups?

I have done nothing yet, I want to try it 100% stock and then mod it to see what the gains are.
