hey guys i just got my new 225 etec ho on a 20x and what water pressure should i be running at full throttle? the other day i was running it and the water pressure was about 13 or 14 psi and the buzzer started goin off and it smoked alittle should i be worried? but i've run it alot since then and it doesn't smoke at all. thanks alot guys

I'll let someone else answer about the smoke.
Keep the water pressure above 15 and close to 20 at wot just to be safe. It will run with lower pressure, but I like mine between 16 - 18.

No alarms? I don't think you hurt it but I would find out why pressure is low and get her up!! The gurus will give ya the bottom #'s but I wouldn't get below 16-18 like was posted above at wot!
You may have spiked in temperature and it triggered the alarm. The next time you go in to the dealer, have him print out the report and look what the max temp is that the motor has seen.
I would lower the motor a bit to get your 15-20 psi so you don't risk it happening again.

I run mine abot 12-15 at various speeds from 3/4 to full throttle and never had a problem no alarms or warnings. Even running at Havasu with 105 degree weather doesn't sound any alarms.
Same here-12 to 15 no problems.
