Good luck. I went last week and you cant even get within 100 yards of the wall due to the grass.

These "duck sanctuary" areas were put into place on several WMA's this year to allow a section where the ducks would not constantly be flushed out by hunters with surface drives. No combustion engines are allowed inside of the Salvador WMA boundary of that area which is that line of poles a hundred yards or so outside of the sea wall or pilings. Even if your engine is not running, you cannot be in there if you have one on your boat. I believe that the effectiveness of these areas at holding ducks will be reevaluated after the season. If you do not agree with this area being off limits for ducks, make sure the WLF commission hears from you next summer.

This is not what was told to me by LDWF today by an enforcement agent in the New Orleans office. He told me that as long as the outboard was tilted completely up and out of the water, then it would not be an issue until they make a further determination on enforcement.
