If what you say is true i need to quit hunting and fishing, or start callin people after every trip to give game away. And they should OUTLAW DEEP FREEZERS! What else you buy them for? for storing excess FOOD!

This is why there is NO limit on perch, a 50 daily limit on sac a lait, and a 100 POSSESSION limit on catfish.... LDWF doesn't want people having a fish fry with bass.

here is directly from the louisiana revised statutes..this would apply to your dove and duck reference.

RS 56:119

§119. Possession of game birds after close of open season

Except as provided in R.S. 56:171 through R.S. 56:181 and except as to live wild birds kept under permit issued by the secretary, no person shall possess in any year any migratory or resident game bird permitted hereby to be taken or possessed in the open season or have in his possession at any time any other kind of wild bird protected hereby. The legal possession limits of resident game birds and game quadrupeds may be possessed during the closed season, if they have been legally taken during open season.

so, this means that you can only have IN YOUR POSSESSION the legal possession limit at ANY time.

Deer, however.... is different..

RS 56:125

§125. Possession of game quadrupeds; tags; deer carcasses

A. A licensee may have in his personal possession anywhere during the open season the number of game quadrupeds permitted by this Subpart to be taken or possessed by him; but should he have in his personal possession at any time or anywhere more than the possession limit of such game quadrupeds, that fact is prima facie evidence of the violation of the provisions of this Subpart unless each such game quadruped in excess of the possession limit is tagged showing the species of game quadruped, the actual signature and license number of the licensee who took the same, and the date and place taken.

B. Positive evidence of sex identification, including the head, shall remain on any deer taken or killed within the state of Louisiana, or on all turkey taken or killed during any special gobbler season when killing of turkey hens is prohibited, so long as such deer or turkey is kept in camp or field, or is in route to the domicile of its possessor, or until such deer or turkey has been stored at the domicile of its possessor or divided at a cold storage facility and has thus become identifiable as food rather than as wild game. Deer and turkey may be divided in camp or field but, in the event of such division, each portion shall be identified by the name, address, and license number of the person killing it and the sex of the animal; however, it is not necessary to affix the license number as required above to portions cut from the carcass immediately prior to being consumed in camp.

Deer are resident animals and regulated by the state. Ducks and doves are migratory and regulated by the federal government.

Oh Lawd! Fella's I think we have gone a little to deep with this. Bottom line is that these dudes are outlaws and they deserve what they got. Now as for the freeze issue. Hell! You might as well arrest just about every sportsman in Louisiana. If that's the case the WLF and the local police can start scouting all local communities an get a search warrent for all who has a boat parked in their yard.
Good lawd! They would have to tunnel sunlight to some of us if they would check our deep freezers.
