found out today whats wrong with my optimax..

I went to okissah wknd before last, on the way up hwy 19 in baker I stop at Louis bait & tackle ,turnig in there was a car parked in the wrong place,anyway my trailer tire hit a waterintake sharp edege and cut sidewall,15 month old marathon gone I change tire an go to camp. sat am on lake my engine is running like chit..dying at idle, and only 4300 rpm wot,44mph. I take it to Ascension marine last week, bad coil packs,apparently has been a prob,with a lot of optis. there on order,thank god I got 6 mths warr.left and only caught 4 fish with only 1 keeper..

Opti s have had trouble with those damn coils since day one! It should have been a factory recall, but they never did it!

Apaprently it began after some 05s, as my Opti has no issues..and I had it thoroughly checked by the best!.

Lakeside Marine is in morgan city I think!! The guy Todd there is supposed to be the Optimax guru! Idk personally, jst what i have heard!! Good Luck!
