He has a whole list of problems, he has a x19 with a hpdi 200, sombitch either pulls to the right real bad b/c he has cable steering and moved the jack plate up and down ten times. He changed props, finally got it to quit pulling so much now it Chines real bad, he worries about so many things, told just hammer down and see what comes out at the end.

Your dads problem sounds like he was too high on the jackplate which caused the pulling hard to the right, and cable steering. So when he lowered it he went too far, it doesnt take much to be too far which makes the boat hard to handle if you have a strong engine.

    Re: (lasabre)

I hope we can fix his problem, I'm gonna drive it and see if he just don't have enough seat time. I had a 210 blazer prior to my cat and son you had to drive that big boy, for sure didn't drive good as my puma. Blazer would do 80 all day long with a hammy 225 3.1 liter

Being too high causing chine walk would be a first i hear of it.In order to have chine walk the prop has to have alot of bite. When its high there isn't enough blade bite to cause chine walk.Unless a basscat is way different than most bassboats.
If the motor is high the boat won't get any bow lift because it doesn't have enough blade in the water to lift it.Therefore chinewalk isn't going to happen cause it won't get on the pad.
Having the motor too low causes the prop to have alot of bite which makes the boat have alot of bow lift.Which makes the boat want to get off the pad and ride on the prop causing chinewalk.

It is my dads express x19 that is driving bad, not my basscat. I have a redish orange and silver cat , hollar at me if you see me out there tomorrow

Which end of the lake is best early morning bite? What's the best way to catch them, I like chugbugs and buzzbaits there, even a spinnerbait if they are in the button woods.

But MOST chine walk is because the plate is to low !!!!

I would bet since he's messed with the plate up and down that its the steering..
