Anybody know if they are catching anything locally???? I am tired of driving 1 1/2 hours to fish when there is water all around me. Good thing us old people don't sleep much because I ain't setting an alarm for 3:30 to go fishing. If I wake up early I go.
Usually Blind River is tough this time of year due to lack of water movement and
plenty of boat traffic. but if you like we can give it a try. Is that the closes water to you home?

I'm in French Settlement, have Amite river, blind river and Diversion canal all close.

Im in French Settlement as well. Its tough because of the boat traffic but if you can get into the backs of the canals (blue boy, barbary, or back towards black lake etc.) and other areas you can still catch fish. You could also run up to the tickfaw or ruddock.

But are they catching anything. I like to make quick trips to Petit Amite, when I can catch a few.
Roger, Looks like we are neighbors, In a way. I have a camp in French Settlement.
Wish I was on the water. Do you spend much time there?
Not as much as I would like, but I can't complain. I keep telling myself I'm going to go out and learn the area, but seems like everytime I bring the boat I'm pulling somebody around on a tube or knee board. Fished it a few times, but need to get out more.
