I am in a Tourney on a river system Sat. My partner and I leave boat 6 and we are making a 16 mile run down river. I had just put my ol reliable trophy on and we was rollin about 81 with a full load of fuel and tackle. I proceed to go by a Stratos and then a Triton and then a Kitty(Yes Doug I am sorry to say). did not think anything about it.
Well at weigh in my pard and I are standing in the back of the crowd and two guys from different teams start talking in front of us. One guy says to the other did you run South? The other guy replies "yep we was rolling along when we got passed by that Bullet". First guy then replies "yeah we took off three spots ahead of you and got passed by them guys too". "They went by us like we was sittin still"

I then realized(with a big Fing grin on my face) that one of the guys was the guy we parked next to that asked me how fast my boat ran when we came in for weigh in. I had politley said right at 81 with full load and full fuel.

No we did not have enough fish to win but damn I had fun runnin.

Thats the differnece cause at 81 you couldnt have passed XKITTY and if you didnt have any fish you just another DONATER!!!!!!!!!!!

I just cant get over a 1200 lb hull with 250 HP braggin about 81. Hell add 600 lbs to it to weigh the same as XKITTY and see if it run 81. Probably wouldnt make 75 with 1985 hull design!!!!!!!!!!!! But its OK IT RIDES GOOD IN ROUGH WATER!!!!!!!!! anything under a 4" chop and it rides like a caddy!

Not sure if handling anything under a 4" chop is something to brag about! My Stratos can handle at least 6 inches! 4' chop and I would be impressed!

just like why cant bullet or anyone make one that weighs 1275 run 90 that takes rough water as good as a 1900 lb hull. Bass Cat doesnt need to make a 1200 lb hull or they would be just another potato chip boat! But of the 3 300 powered Cats i know of they all run 90 plus at 1800-1900 lbs depending if its a cougar or puma so why would they need to. takes Bullet to build less than a 1000 lb hull to go any faster.
