    Broken props

What can you do with a prop with half of a blade gone on a prop? Sell it at the scrap yard? Use it for an anchor?

    Just wondering,

Sometimes they can be fixed , but I would just scrap it !!! If you get it fixed you take a big chance of it coming apart agian and tearing up your cavitation plate or LU !!!!!

Oh no, not gonna repair this POS PowerTech prop. Those props only get one opportunity to whipe out my cavitation plate and this one missed. I was thinking a recycling place might give me a few dollars!!! Restock my ribbits!!

    Re: Broken props (Alan S)

Took off in the south boat lane in Negreet, around 45 mph, something didn't feel right, like i was pulling a drift sock, then it came loose and at maybe 55 mph i hit the rev limiter and immediately knew i lost part of a blade, so i took my time and made it back to turtle beach and sho nuff. Good ole PowerTech prop flung half a blade. In August i'll have had the boat 5 years and this is the 3rd or 4th blade to come off a powertech. So, i'm officially done with PowerTech. Well, i do have one for a spare. I bought a Fury last week, and tomorrow when i get home, i'll put it on and go to Mermentau and run it on the river.
