I have a 2005 ranger z21 with a 2005 hdpi 250. Has anyone ever replace the fuel line? I was told to make sure I replace it due to possible brake down of inner lining. What is involved? Thanks to all that help out.

Remove the seat and start there. Replace both fuel tank lines to selector switch, selector switch to onboard fuel/water filter separator, filter to the inlet of primer bulb. All this line is 3/8 EPA Compliance fuel line. From outlet of primer bulb to the motors first fuel filter is 5/16 EPA Compliance Fuel Line. Then you are done. Put seat back in.![]()
All the fuel lines under the engine cowl have been ethonol compliant since either 1999 or 2000. You should be good to go on all those little ones. The problem seems to be with the rigging hoses from the fuel tanks to the engine. Unless it is marked as being USCG A1 or A2 then it is not alcohol rated (A1 is the better, but you may see A2 for fill or vent hoses).
what happens if you use 3/8 fuel line from the primer bulb to the first fuel filter?
