    Need some help

Have a 2000 OX66 225. Last few times out I have had problems getting RPM's. When i checked the plugs the top and bottom plug on the starboard side of the motor had what looked to be oil coming from around them. Is there some serious damage that would cause this or could it be that the fuel was not getting burnt due to fouled plugs and it was just blowing around the plugs. I changed the plugs out and would like to run the motor to check the RPM issue but do not want to damage the motor any more than it could already be. Do not know a lot about this kind of thing so any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Normal on two strokes to have some oil there. Have you checked your fuel and water filter????

Have checked the filter in the fuel water separator and it seemed ok, will try and check the other in the morning. I have replaced the three fuel pumps. I thought it could be normal but it just seemed like a lot of oil to me. Will try to run it tomorrow and see if the RPM's are up and pull the plugs again and check them out. Thank you for the help.

What did the plugs them selves look like? Did they all look like they were burning properly?

How much loss on the R's?

The plugs were very black and lots of oil on them, but only the two plugs I have mentioned. I changed the plugs about 5 months ago but use the boat almost every weekend. I have went from 5800 rpm to about 5000. When i hit 5000 I can let off the throttle and punch it and they would go up towards 5800 for a few seconds and go back down again. I run sea foam and stabil ethanol treatment regularly

Changing the plugs seemed to fix the problem. Did not have time to run the boat long but it seemed to be running fine. Gues the two plugs were fouled and oil just built up from the last few trips out. I really appreciate all your help.
