you know gun your absolutly right stupid hurts and a lot of times there alcohol involeved but thats one thing about me , i do drink pretty heavily, but i refuse to drink in the boat, i look at it like this i cant hardly stand up on dry ground sober i sure as hell cant walk on water drunk. thats always been one of my own laws, i wont even drink one in the boat

MAUREPAS, LA (WAFB) - Three people are missing and another person is injured after an idle boat's engine accidently engaged and injured the people on Lake Maurepas Saturday afternoon, Wildfire and Fisheries spokesman Adam Einck tells 9News.

Another person was involved in the crash and was not injured.

The five people were in a boat and were preparing to head in to eat dinner at a restaurant on Blind River. About one mile from the river, the five boaters stopped and swam, Einck said.

As the passengers jumped out to swim, the boat was left idle with the engine running. The last person to jump out of the boat had their clothes get caught in the throttle, which engaged the engine as they jumped in, Einck said.

The boat was sent into a violent circle and hit four of the passengers. The injured boater was rescued at the scene and then transported to a local hospital.
