    Re: Boat Insurance question???

I think the problems lie in different areas...I genuinely believe that the agents and brokers want to take care of you, and expect the company to take care of the customers they write policies for.....the claims agents have a different mindset to say the least...thats why any time I have a claim, I call my agent and let him handle it...I will not speak with the claims agents...I've nearly been screwed twice like that...

    Re: Boat Insurance question??? (Chad)

i dont have a problem with my agent but i am with state farm & i made 2 claims in less than 3 months & they cancelled my boat ins. my agent done everything he could but it was the company that did it. my agent told them that i have had boat insurance with them for 20 years with no claims untill these 2 but they said they did'nt look at it that way all they would say is i made 2 claims in less than 3 months so they was dropping me. i hate to not do buisness with my current agent because i had all my auto & boat insurance with him since i was 18 & im 42 now, but i have 2 trucks & a car with them now & did have my boat with them. i will prolly change all.

I've had Allstate for over 20 yrs. While I've never had a claim on my boat, there has never been any problems with car and home claims. The claims adjuster comes to look at the problem and usually writes a check on the spot.

I think that's the best way to handle it. That's why you have an agent. Let them handle the process.

Have you had a claim with them yet ? Thats when you will know what you got. Cheaper price is good too. </TD></TR></TABLE>

I had two friends with this company and made claims last year with no issues. thats one reason i switched!!!!!!!!!!!!!! State farm is been heading towards rip off staus for years and have finally achieved it in my book. all are good as long as they collect and you dont use them its when you do and how they act about payin and what they do afterwards that matters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
