Heard the waters high, gonna go tomorrow, anyone been lately?
Haven't been on it in several years, but had a guy call this morning wanting to know if I would fish a tourney there on March 20. Would that be the Camel Rider's tourney? If so, I used to fish it 12-13 years but not sure if I want to do it or not. Let us know how you do.
dont know? think the big Shriners tournament is comming up. It might be the 20th, know theres one next weekend out of woodsons, course their all out of woodsons! gotta run the creek
I have a club tx out of Woodson's on the 20th. Sounds like it might be packed. Pass over Big Creek last weekend going to Marksville and the water was up there. Just read on another site that the bean field road is flooded. The creek isnt that bad when it 8' above pool stage.

just got back. Mr. Leon said water is about 9ft high, looks to be right. only caught 2 dinks but ran my boat mostly. Woodsons was packed, lots of people runnin yoyos and perch jerkn. Talked to 2 other boats and they caught 3 between them. Larto is a little clearer for some reason even though is high. water is running out towards the river and not back in so that is a good sign
Almost forgot! if your not as agile as me you better bring some knee boots to launch your boat or your gonna get wet! gota back into the water a good ways. I jumped to my bumper and climbed into my truck but saw a few soggy socked dudes at the landing!!!!!!

Jeremy-is your club tourney an open tourney? I don't like fishing the complex with it as high as it sounds like it is. Too many fish are back in the woods. However, if the water starts out and the fish pull out to the edge of the woods it can be game on. If anyone hears what other tourney is going out of Woodson's on the 20th, please let me know. I had the same thoughts last year when I fished the club tx. Water was waaaaaay up there and figured I didn't stand a chance. I ended up winning with 15lbs. I'll be checking that dame place out. I think the only problem will be the water temps.
