    Tilt/trim problems

Today we went out to fish a tounrment and throughout the day noticed that my tilt and trim seemed to be getting weak....This afternoon we had to get into 52 degree water to raise the motor to get off the ramp.

It will not move at all now....

Does this sound like the seals are out of the tilt/trim?
Will they normally just go out all at once?
Could this be a fluid issue? Where do you add fluid? What kind of fluid?

    I have a 98 200 VMAX....

    Thanks for any thoughts.

    Re: Tilt/trim problems (getthanet)

Does the motor actually engage or is it dead when you push up/down on the button? If the motor runs but the trim doesn't go up, you probably don't have any fluid and is leaking somewhere. Hydrolics must have fluid in order to work.
