    Idle rough after WOT

Had the boat out Saturday, the air was about 70 and the water was about 50. Made about a 3mile run at 4500 RPM, when I came off plane still running a little above Idle the engine run very rough. When I let off it died, restarted and idle back out OK. I replaced the 3 fuel pump and checked the o2 over the winter. when I checked the o2 It had no carbon and very little oil. I,m going to check the spark plugs next. I have a 01 ox66 225. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Idle rough after WOT (viking)

That's strange because I'm having the same sort of problem. When I come off plane, I get what seems to feel like a "miss" for a second or two, then it runs better. I also have the feeling that it misses while I'm running. It's almost like I hit a wave, like it's going to fall off pad. I thought it was a fuel pump problem and had planned to replace them, but maybe I'll wait to see if anyone can give us some tips before I spend money.

i had the same prob took it to be fixed and it ended up being the 02 sensor and a dirty injector.also the filters had to be cleaned but it runs great now.
