RPMS?
Prop?
Boat?
Set-back?
propshaft height?
Conditions (loaded, altitude, etc)
As much as i know is the boat is a Skeeter ZX 202C. The prop is the stock prop. The load is just normal fishing rigged load. Live in ohio so could'nt tell you alltitude. Just looking to gain a little more speed. I know its a big boat for the 150 but it was free the boat is a 98
Your doing awesome if you have a 202 running 58 with a 150.

+1 on what Mike said and he knows. Could go with Hydro-Techs Phase kits.

Yeah the boat has a fast haul. Is there anything i could do to the prop? or Hydro has an exhaust kit will that help much?
I would not bother putting any work into that motor. It's only a 2.6L block and you would be best to use a 3.1 or 3.3L if you want more speed/performance. Just enjoy what you have for now.![]()

+1...isn't that boat rated for at least a 200HP? Think I've even seen some with 225s so if you are running that with a 150 on a 20ft boat, I'd leave it be.

+1 on above advice.
The 150 is a great motor ..... but for the money you'd invest in it to make it scream on that big hull, you might as well find a 3.1/3.3 to put your money in to.![]()

I have a 150 on a TZX 190, 60 GPS, stock 25 m prop, 3" below pad. That is a good speed for that boat / motor combination.

The advice from the guru's on this board are always very good. You can do the math with a prop-slip calculator and it will verify what everyone has told you.
Your motor has a 2.0 to 1 gear ratio. This greatly helps your holeshot, but limits your top end.
If you go to a higher pitch prop, your rpm's will drop (you will not have enough power to rotate the prop and push the boat forward).
You will spend a small fortune if you run your motor (wide-open) all the time anyway (all motors, but especially carbed motors drink fuel WOT).
If you are propped to where you are turning 5800 to 6000 rpm (WOT), then that is what you want.
I have the same motor (18 foot boat), and I try to run at about 4500 rpm (with some bursts at WOT thrown in from time to time).
You cannot expect to keep up with the boats with 250 hp motors.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Yes the boat is rated for a 200. I bought it with a blown 200 and it took them 2 months before they found out they could not fix it. I had already made 2 payments so they made the deal right and gave me that brand new Yamaha 150 for free. Im not complaining at all just would like a little more top end.
