What weight to punch grass in Cat?

What size weight is it taking to punch the grass there? Also, anyone care to share what they are using? Was going to try a 1 1/4oz tungsten on a baby brush hog(might have to remove some arms) or a 4"tube.

Also saw those Paycheck punch skirts and hooks. Anyone have any info on them?

ive never fished the cat before but i would think 1 1/4 oz weight is way overkill i may be wrong , but in my opinion 1/2 ounce should be plenty , even running a carolina rig i wouldnt go larger than 3/4 oz.

I use A 1 oz for the heavy grass , the grass is really thick in some places you CANT get A bait in it , but theres lots of places thats not as thick or that have holes all in the grass that you dont have to have A real heavy bait to get in . But I was catchin A few last weekend on the edges of the grass with A redbug trick worm and A 1/4 oz weight !!!!!!!!

The flippin bite has died down in the cat, I went to lake salvador and wore the bass out on a drop shot by the plat forms in the middle of the lake my best five bass went 24# and some change. the bait I was using was a roboworm red bug. Here is the gps co-oradents to the area I was fishing in 90 14.1831 by 29 43.6091 hope this will help yall out.

Yea you should have stopped, man we were realy smoking them, I was catching a fish on every cast, I broke off a lot of fish, there is a lot of junk at the bottom. I guess that is what is holding the fish there. can't wait to go back.
