Im looking at a boat that has a 150hp pro V motor. Seller said it ran fine on the way back to the ramp. When started up to load on trailer it would not start, He turned the key for me and wont spin freely. I'm assuming without pulling the plugs that the block needs rebuilding????
Anyone ever just replaced the head with another used one?

do you mean the motor isnt cranking when he turns the key or its just not starting?
I looked at it last week and he turned the key and it would not crank consistent. Sounded like it cranked 1/2 a revolution 180degrees if that makes sense. I have not pulled the plugs to see if the plugs are damaged or peeked inside the plug hole. Any thoughts?

I'm going to try and look at motor again tomorrow and take my tools and see if the flywheel turns complete 360 degrees and pull plugs also.
