Go to the state police website. They have all the info. http://www.lsp.org
On the left side, click on divisions and find the concealed permit section.

Gun its 125.00. I was going to get mine at BPS but was told that Precision Firearms on Cloverland in BR helps you fill put all your paper work, makes sure its correct and send it in.BPS does not.Does not sound like a big deal to me but with this kinda stuff you better have it right or you wont get it. Do any of yall plan on carring concealed or just want the permit ?

As a retired officer, I have a concealed permit. Sometimes I carry, sometimes I don't. Depends on where I'm going and what I'm doing.

I dont carry and really dont want to start, but I'm sure i will someday so i'm gonna go ahead and get it.I do like to carry a side arm when its legal when hunting so the permit would come in handy when wearing hunting clothes if i had to stop at the store or something first.

I't always legal to carry a firearm. The permit is to cary it concealed. You can walk down main street like John Wayne with a six shooter on your hip, as long as it is not concealed.

Yea i know that but this aint the wild wild west....yet In my opinion the permit is just window dressing. The bad guys will never get one and the cops dont know your intensions no matter if you a good guy or not and will draw down on you even if your helping someone out when they show up.It can be real dangerous so thats why i will not carry on myself very often.

And Im ALLWAYS PACKIN HEAT it may not be on my side but it stays in the truck unless I need to wear it for something so I may aswell make it legal . I would wear it all the time on my side , but it draws allot of attention and scares some people but I do like having it very close to me !!!!!!!!!! I LOVE AMERICA

If Obama has his way all the permits will be null and void. Our right to bear arms is being challenged and we must all do what we can to keep it in place. We must vote out the people who are trying to take our freedom from us.

Don't really know the specifics on this but my father-in-law was looking into taking this course and he decided not to because he said it makes you alot more responsible for your actions and increases your liability if you use it. I do know there is alot of restrictions on where you can carry one. He is big time into guns so I am sure he thought long and hard about his decision.

I have had my permit for 3 years. When you take the class the laws are explained in detail. You are not more responsible for your actions, but you need to understand potential actions with a firearm cannot be reversed. In regards to the liability, if you are in a situation in which you have to use deadly force, liability will be the last thought on your mind. There is an old saying "I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 8" . Also the restrictions on where you cannot carry or not bad, no churches, schools, bar rooms, etc... Also the LA permit is reciprocal with most (not all) states that have CCL's. You can actually get a non-resident permit from Florida and use it to carry here in LA.
