    Yamaha SHO pics

    This came from another forum:
    http://www.thehulltruth.com/bo....html

These are pics of a new Skeeter FX series. Tough to see the motor and say for sure it's not a Series 2. It obviously doesn't look like the pic above.

All this Set=up to run the new super high output 4-Stroke Yamaha. I Drove the boats yesturday and you will not believe the power and the hook up with the new Skeeter Boat and S.H.O. Yamaha. Click on our photo gallery to see these pictures.

I think the top pic is real. Looks like it was scanned from a soon to be release marketing ad. Those Skeeter pics look like a Series 2 to me.

I think the motor dimensions are very close in size to a two stroke too. I think the motor is 1" wider, higher and 1" longer.

Can't tell from that pic...what are the pickups like? Still low like the HPDI?

Sharp looking boat, I'm a litttle worried that they "changed the hull" though. My 09 21i is the best running/riding Skeeter I've owned, I hope they did not screw anything up! I do not like the new consoles, nor the lack of the digital guages, but like the three toned seat. As far as the four stroker goes, awesome I just dont want to be in line for serial #1! Just kidding I'm sure Yamaha has been testing this for years, I definately want to run one though before I order an 10 model boat.

It appears that Yamaha has done what no other manufacturers wanted to do... they made a 4-stroke that people could re-power their bass boats with. Verado = too heavy for my boat, Honda= a little too heavy and no low-end power, Suzuki = only 250HP for bass boats, Yamaha 200 SHO = might work on my boat. Finally someone is building a motor I could re-power with .

That's what I am considering doing as well for my BassCat Pantera IV. I want to keep my boat for a very long time and feel more comfortable going forward with a four stroke for several reasons. Bench marks are solid, I have a awesome dealer and mechanic for customer support and I absolutely love my BassCat. I got a strong buyer already for my motor so this could really happen quickly for me to move on a 200 SHO-Vmax when they become available.
