    10 Micron Filter placement

    I am getting ready to install a 10 micron filter on my boat and have read here that some have it before the primer bulb and other have it after. From what I gather the instructions must say to have it before the primer bulb. On my setup it would be handier if the bulb were before the filter. What are the disadvantages to having the filter after the primer bulb?

    My primer is before the filter.It makes it easier to fill the filter when its time to change it.

    IDK, mine goes ...... gas tank -> primer bulb -> 10m seperator/filter -> HPDI.

    Have not had a problem yet

    well thats news to me.I just serviced my HPDI after having my 10 micron installed for about a year.Had 73 hrs on the 10 so changed it and changed the high pressure filter.I also went to check my VST and when i got to it it was spotless.Maybe i'm just lucky

    Then i will be ok.I buy fuel at the same place for everything i own.I also spend alot of money on additives to help keep the water out as much as possible.The few times i have been out of town is where i have been lucky
